Lugu Fabric Blog Tour - Day 12 - Textile Trolley

So are you wondering what this is all about?  A blog tour?  If you don't know what it is basically it's a set amount of time with a bunch of bloggers all linked together to promote something, the thing this time is the wonderful new collection of fabric designed by
Jessica Swift called Lugu.

Jessica asked for volunteers to create items with her new collection, I applied and was accepted (woo hoo)  one of 24 artists to create something special to showcase this fantastic new collection of fabrics.  And how do we showcase it?  On our blogs!  And you'll also find photos on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest because I like to do as much as I can to promote.

We're about half way through the tour I believe I'm #12  If you want to check out all the other amazing items that the other artists have made (and you really should) click below for the full list of participants.

So without further a do, here's what I created.  I'd been making a bunch of patchwork drawstring bags at the time I was accepted so I thought that would be perfect.

Front of the bag

Back of the bag

I lined the bag with waterproof fabric so it's great for wet towels and swimsuits or dirty laundry when travelling.

And of course I couldn't stop there because I had some fabric left over so I made an insulated lunch bag, a reusable straw/cutlery bag and reusable snack and sandwich bags.

This collection of bags is perfect for a day trip to the pool or the beach you've got your towel and swimsuit in one bag and your drinks and snacks in another.

The lunch bag comes with quilted straps and a big fat zipper which makes opening and closing a breeze for even the smallest fingers.

A large boxed bottom on the bag allows items to stand straight up and there's plenty of room in there for lunch and snacks

Plain owl fabric on the back

Quite the handsome set

Textile Trolley - AS SEEN ON TV!

FINALLY, Textile Trolley has made it to the screen!  I (I should really say 'my' product) had my debut TV appearance.  Last week my apple teething lovey was featured on 'Splitting up Together' which airs on Tuesday nights on ABC.  Here's a couple of pics of the lovely Jenna Fischer holding the little lovey.

If you want to see the actual footage (including Oliver Hudson handing her the box) it's on Hulu if you're a member and it's featured in Season 2, episode 15, start watching at the 18 min mark and it appears right around the 19 min mark.

I cannot tell you how THRILLED I was to see this!  It absolutely made my day!!!  The show actually bought a bunch of items from me so not sure if anymore will pop up in the coming episodes!  Stay tuned and be sure to let me know if you see anything.

Long time no see

Well it's been a while since I posted on the blog, not sure who's still out there LOL  If you follow Textile Trolley I'm sure you'll see that I am VERY VERY active on both Instagram and Facebook these days.  I'm hoping to be able to link this blog to my website in the not so distant future so stay tuned.

Business at Textile Trolley is going well and I'm looking forward to a few exciting projects coming up as well as the show season that will be starting at the end of the month for me.  Orders over on Etsy and wholesale continue to keep me busy on a daily basis.
